AIX 2024: Zotefoams to showcase ZOTEK® F high-performance foams
As producer of the world’s lightest closed cell crosslinked foams, cellular material pioneer Zotefoams is continuing its mission to make aviation even more sustainable.
On stand 7A57 at AIX 2024, the Zotefoams team will showcase ZOTEK® F high-performance foam. Widely regarded as the material of choice for aircraft interiors owing to its outstanding safety credentials – it delivers impressive weight savings of up to 70%, improving carbon footprint by reducing fuel burn.
Taking centre stage this year is ZOTEK F OSU Extra-Rigid, which, when used to replace traditional solid thermoplastic components such as seating backshell panels, can deliver significant weight savings of up to 50%.
Manufactured via Zotefoams unique chemical-free manufacturing process, ZOTEK F is notably pure, consistent and durable which ensures compatibility with a wide range of forming methods, allowing the production of complex shapes.
Zotefoams also produces a wide range of other high-performance materials suitable for other aviation applications including Environmental Control Systems (ECS) ducting, flex hoses, window seals, soft touch trim, rigid armrests, consoles, tray tables, footwells, stowage lockers and carpet underlay where outstanding fire, smoke and toxicity properties are critical.
