Zotefoams appoints Neil Court-Johnston VP Strategy following ReZorce® launch
Neil Court-Johnston, who has joined Zotefoams in the role of Vice President of Strategy, EMEA, brings a wealth of experience across the FMCG production and packaging sectors, with previous roles including Business Unit Director for Jabil’s European food and beverage business and Commercial Director with responsibility for major clients and business development across EMEA, Asia and North America for Nampak. Prior to that, Neil held senior roles with Nestlé, Mondelez and Northern Foods. He was appointed a Council Member for the British Plastics Federation in 2017.
Zotefoams has harnessed its expertise in microcellular foaming to develop ReZorce®, an industry first in recyclable barrier packaging. It is suitable for a wide range of foodstuffs, beverages, household and personal care products requiring oxygen and/or moisture barrier packaging, with excellent functional capability to replace difficult-to-recycle composite materials such as metallised films, laminated paper, pouches and cartons.
“ReZorce is a transformative technology, launching to market at exactly the right time,” says Neil. “Unlike existing composite barrier materials, it is fully recyclable via post-consumer waste streams and represents a unique and compelling response to industry concerns around the environment, waste and recycling.
“The regulatory framework for packaging in the EU, and in many other markets worldwide, is a critical issue for brand owners and manufacturers right now. Our patented technology enables them to meet regulatory requirements at scale, whilst reducing costs – benefitting the planet and society as a whole.”
Zotefoams Group CEO, David Stirling, adds, “Neil has a strong track record of creating and developing new markets – expertise which will be a real asset to our business. With his extensive manufacturing experience with food multinationals, Neil will play a pivotal role in unlocking the true potential of ReZorce technology and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
