Zotefoams’ capacity growth on track
The delivery of two new High Temperature Low Pressure autoclaves and associated bulk tanks marks another milestone in Zotefoams’ £12 million investment programme to increase foam manufacturing capacity at its UK facility
The investment provides flexibility to produce both ZOTEK® High-Performance Products (HPP) and the AZOTE® polyolefin range of foam products. In a recent trading update, Zotefoams confirmed a 97% increase in sales from HPP products and a 7% increase in sales of polyolefin foams.
This addition to UK capacity is one of three major investments by Zotefoams as the Group’s site in USA will complete a $42 million investment in infrastructure, extrusion and two high-pressure autoclaves in 2019, while in Poland work is progressing following the announcement of an investment in a third foam manufacturing production site to increase capacity of the Group’s polyolefin foams range a further 20% in 2020.
Commenting on the latest development, Group CEO David Stirling says, “So far this year we have seen substantial progress for the Group in many areas. With strong customer interest in HPP materials, ongoing development opportunities within polyolefin foams and our full commitment to capacity investments, we are confident about the future prospects of the business.”
